While it is true that you should stay up so you can finish things that are due the next day, it however can make you very sleepy or grumpy in the morning because you stayed up too late to finish the thing you had to finish. Another thing is that even if you go out to eat with your parents and you get back and you did not finish your homework you should do a little of it so you are not going to sleep to late and then finish the rest in the morning when you wake up. It may be true that if you stay up late you can get the things you need done and then have free time on a device or something, but it can affect the how sleepy you will be in the morning for school, or a sporting activity. They claim that you should stay up to do things that will help you in life, but in fact if you do not get 8 and a half to 9 hours of sleep your body will not function very well in the morning. This is why you should go to sleep at a good time and not stay up late.
