In the Hand of the Goddess
This book is about a girl named Alanna. She lives in a kingdom where she is secretly becoming a knight. She is a girl, but she is disguised as a boy. She is on her fourth year of becoming a knight and when she turns 18 she will tell everyone that she is a girl and she will leave the kingdom to go help others in the country. In this book, she is 14 about to turn 15. She has a lot of friends that keep her company when she is practicing and studying for school. She only told three people that she is a girl and they were surprised when they heard it. She told George, Prince Jonathan and George’s mother who is helping her to become a girl again. Her fear is a sorcerer named Duke Roger. He has powers which can reach out to you and see what you’re thinking. Near the end of the book when she is about 16 she has to go through many tests so that she can almost become a knight. She also gets in a fight with her enemy Duke Roger. Does she win or not……. Read the book to find out more about the middle and ending.
I enjoy this book because it is a very interesting book. It talks about the old days when you had very harsh training and did not have guns or anything. This makes the story more interesting because when they have fights in the fighting room, it can go one way or the other depending on who is the strongest. This book is also interesting because it talks about a sickness and how they found a way to cure it. This book is very entertaining if you like fights and peace at the same time!
I think I would rate this book 8/10 because I like its text. I like it because when I read it I can make mental pictures in my mind of what is going on in the story. If you read the book maybe you will think the same. I think this book is a page turners. There are several books and they are long and entertaining!
